The Sir Oz Academy roots began in 2009 as a concept of Oz Fox to provide guitar lessons and instructions over the internet.
Soliciting the help of his colleague Greg Hays, Oz and Greg began to build a foundation of what a subscription based website would look like and function like.
After many prototypes and spending weeks and months talking about methods of which we could deliver online guitar lessons in a subscription based fashion, the first model was built. We called this model SOAv1.0.
Much of our earlier discussions back in 2009 focused on providing a reasonably priced product. Today, we still hold to that same value. Many of the additional discussions about the look and feel of the site have become a reality and many of the discussions have taken a back seat to newer and greater technology thanks to the ever changing landscape of computer
delivery methods.
The first website was officially launched in 2010 and subscriptions officially began on March 7, 2012.
